What Kirsti and Amanda from RubyOnyx have done for Christmas in Narellan this year has been nothing short of a miracle! With the live event cancelled for the second year in a row due to Covid-19, they weren’t going to let our 10-year anniversary go by without a celebration!

They were instrumental in the conception, design and implementation of our inaugural Community Christmas Initiatives programme - a series of online Christmas-themed activities - to enable us to connect with our local community and celebrate our special milestone. The response from the community was amazing and we were thrilled to be able to put smiles on so many faces.

Not only are Kirsti and Amanda extremely passionate about what they do, they are exceptionally talented and creative professionals who have transformed the Christmas in Narellan brand into something
truly magical!

Christmas in Narellan
About Christmas in Narellan
Christmas in Narellan commenced as a joint initiative of the Greater Narellan Business Chamber and its Event Partners Narellan Town Centre and the Rotary Club of Narellan. It has grown to become one of the marquee events on the Camden LGA and Macarthur calendar.

At its very core it is a traditional Christmas Carols event with performances from an array of local and national singers and dancers. In recent times it has become so much more with the addition of falling snow and a feature Fireworks display. It is an opportunity for the existing and many new families in the Narellan and surrounding Camden LGA to come down to a free community event, to be entertained, meet their neighbours, enjoy the local cuisine, and share in a fun and relaxed festive spirit.
The Outcome
RubyOnyx was contracted to manage the marketing of the 2021 Christmas in Narellan event. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions the event could not go ahead in its usual format. The downside to this was that 2021 was the 10-year anniversary of Christmas in Narellan.

Our team knew that no matter what, the event would need to go ahead in one way or another. After several strategy sessions, CIN went ahead as a virtual event of sorts and the CIN Community Christmas Initiatives were born. Four community engagement activities were developed and promoted over an 8-week period bringing the magic and joy of Christmas to so many in the community. In addition to the initiatives, RubyOnyx created content that was underpinned by the spirit of Christmas to ensure the lead up the Christmas was also memorable. We were thrilled to have been instrumental in ensuring the 10-year anniversary was celebrated.
